About me

I moved to Florence from Venezuela at the age of 5, and since I was young, I have nurtured a passion for art that has taken many forms.

Raised by a mother who was a painter, who fueled my curiosity and creativity, I had the opportunity to live in an artist's studio and explore the world of art in all its shades.

My love for theater began early, appreciating every aspect of it: from acting to costumes, from set design to singing and dancing.

Over the years, my training has ranged from acting and dance courses to woodworking, painting, and radio speaking, always seeking new ways to express myself.

Each experience has enriched me, leading me to develop a multifaceted and passionate vision of creativity, which I aim to convey in every artistic project I undertake.

Sottonando 58

Imagine entering an old pub, where time seems to have stopped.

In a corner, abandoned like an old memory, there’s a jukebox, covered in dust and rust, but still capable of playing music. This is where the story comes to life.

Ailin enters the pub one evening, like any other, a little tipsy, a drink in her hand, and life written in her eyes.

Sitting down, she begins to speak without thinking too much, as if she needs to release something that has been weighing on her.

The jukebox, a silent witness to hundreds of stories, listens and tells the audience this one, accompanying it with a song that best captures Ailin’s life.

This monologue was written and performed by Hortencia Teran for the final of the first edition of the "Uno o Duo a Modo Tuo" competition, organized by the Teatro di Ponte a Ema, where it won first prize.

Cash on Delivery

"Cash on Delivery" by Michael Cooney is a witty comedy that follows the misadventures of Eric Swan, a man who has defrauded social services by pretending to be disabled.

His life becomes complicated when an inspector arrives to verify the truth of his condition.

In an attempt to cover up the scam, Eric creates a series of misunderstandings and absurd situations, involving his wife, a doctor, a pension office employee, and even his father.

The comedy unfolds with identity changes and comedic gags, leading to a hilarious finale that resolves the plot in a surprising way.

Giù dal Palcoscenico degli Dei

In the evocative setting of Florence’s Teatro Niccolini comes to life Stage of the Gods: a dreamlike and sensorial journey through poetry, music, and movement.

The Hero, naked and alone, guided by his Shadow, explores the labyrinth of the unconscious in a dance of lights, words, and visions.

The lyrics by Massimo Vezzosi, music by Alessio Riccio, and direction by Marco Bartolini come together to create a magnetic sound-ballet, suspended between dream and reality. An emotional and poetic experience beyond time.

Compagnia dei Girafiabe

The Compagnia dei Girafiabe is a Cultural Association founded in 2018 in Florence. It is self-managed and self-financed, closely connected to the Teatro La Fiaba space and the District 4 (Quartiere 4) of Florence.

Composed of young people aged between 18 and 35, over the years the company has taken part in numerous workshop-based projects with schools, focusing on environmental awareness, anti-bullying initiatives, and raising awareness about gender discrimination.

The Compagnia’s main goal is to support and promote the exploration of art in all its forms, with particular attention to theatre, music, poetry, and performance — both through the work of its members and by welcoming external artists and companies.

Through the practice, promotion, and teaching of art, the Association aims to contribute culturally and recreationally to community life, offering cultural services for all, and fostering a dialogue that encourages the exchange of ideas and creative encounters.

The Compagnia works in close and ongoing collaboration with the District 4 of Florence and local primary and middle schools. Over the years, it has also partnered with several other cultural organizations in Florence, including Radio Bruno, Mercafir, Catalyst, Tedavi ’98, and the Tavarnuzze Pro Loco.

L'Ombra di Ade

Il mito di Orfeo ed Euridice

A musical that reimagines the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice through a post-apocalyptic lens.

We are in a world where only burning summers and freezing winters remain, ruled by poverty and despair. At its center lies the city of Hades — a place of slavery where freedom is crushed by the King of the Underworld and his factory. The factory offers salvation from the hunger of the outside world, but at the cost of surrendering one’s will and freedom.

The music of the show draws inspiration from Jazz, Funk, Swing, Gospel, and Black Music traditions.

Adaptation: Compagnia dei Girafiabe - Direction: Vieri Raddi - Musical Direction: Tommaso Nannucci - Choreography & Movement: Margherita Faini - Scenography: Iacopo Allodi (Art Pillo) - Poster Design: Matteo Allodi (Matt’s Lair) - Photography: Camilla Poli - Costume Design: Isabella Giamberini and Hortencia Teran

Moonshine

1920s. In a smoky, borderline-illegal nightclub, gangsters, dreamers, and lost souls collide.

The place is run by a corrupt former policeman who believes he holds all the power. But behind every decision lurks Nightingale, an enigmatic and unseen figure who pulls the strings of fate from the shadows.

A theatrical noir filled with intrigue and illusion.

Original Script: Compagnia dei Girafiabe
Directed by: Marco Torrini - Musical Direction: Tommaso Nannucci - Choreography & Movement: Margherita Faini and Carolina Mischi - Set Design: Agnese Agresti - Poster Design: Matteo Allodi (Matt’s Lair) - Costume Design: The Company

Grease

The Compagnia dei Girafiabe brought to the stage a vibrant rendition of the iconic musical, entirely produced and self-funded by the young members of the company.

With slicked-back hair, poodle skirts, and the spirit of rock ’n’ roll, the story of Danny and Sandy came to life with energy, passion, and plenty of fun — winning over the audience with lively choreography and contagious enthusiasm.

Adaptation by: Compagnia dei Girafiabe - Directed by: Simone Nannucci - Musical Direction: Tommaso Nannucci - Choreography & Movement: Laura Cardelli - Set Design: Iacopo Allodi (Art Pillo) - Poster Design: Matteo Allodi (Matt’s Lair) - Costume Design: Clio Raddi

Come d'Incanto

The Compagnia dei Girafiabe brings to the stage a modern fairytale that blends reality and fantasy.

Giselle, a dreamy princess, is suddenly thrown into the real world — a place full of greys and disillusionment.

But with the help of enchanted origami, puppets, and theatrical magic, she begins to transform the city and its people. A show filled with color, music, and wonder, where enchantment hides in the smallest things.
